Here are a few tests that may be helpful in determining the severity of your symptoms and a possible diagnosis that could help explain them. Please note that these tests alone cannot determine your diagnosis with any degree of certainty because they are limited in scope and cannot determine other factors that may be causing your troubles. Take them as an indication of whether you should seek additional help and analysis. The charge is necessary to keep spammers away. I’ll be glad to deduct it from your next office visit. Just ask me.

What To Do If Your Test Shows…

If your test shows that your symptoms are moderate to severe, you have several options. One is to keep the status quo and try on your own to get better (this is what most people do, at first). Second, you can try taking an over-the-counter dietary supplement (if one is available for your issue–see a good selection of them here). Third, you can go see your primary care physician, discuss the matter and see if the doctor will prescribe you a medication. Fourth, you can make an appointment with Dr. Z (or with another qualified clinician) for a more thorough evaluation of your symptoms and a diagnosis, as well as a treatment plan of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which may or may not include OTC supplements and/or prescription medication.
