A non-chemical addiction is a complex set of obsessive and repetitive thoughts and behaviors that is not stimulated or aided by the ingestion of a chemical substance. The most frequently observed non-chemical addiction is sexual addiction. By comparison, a chemical addiction entails the ingestion of alcohol or other prescription or non-prescription chemicals that act on the brain (including illicit drugs). Dr. Z does not treat chemical addictions.

How Bad Is It?

In your treatment, Dr. Z will explore with you the dimensions of your addiction. It is more likely that you’ll seriously consider treatment only after you’ve been discovered by your significant other or by a member of your family, or after you’ve gotten in trouble with law enforcement, or after you’ve experienced serious financial consequences.

If none of those major events has happened, yet, do not sit idly by while your addiction continues to fester. It is only a matter of time before it all comes out–sometimes in a very bad way. Take action now!
